We got 0.02" here yesterday and 0.13 so far today. Looks like maybe some more rain coming in from the west tonight.

Red snapper is GOOD eating! One of my favorites. Sounds like you have a very good day fishing.

Looks like the long term forecast on Ventusky is predicting a hurricane to develop in the western Gulf, so it might be something to keep an eye on.

We were about 60 miles south of you where we were fishing. The red snapper have really come back the last 15 years in our part of the gulf. Had to give away many 6 to 8lb snapper as you are only allowed 4 on a 2 day trip.

Been raining most of the day today. Nothing very heavy, but pretty steady for a good soaking.

Got 0.47" registered so far. Seems like it should have been more than that.

According to the weather radar, more is on the way.

The mosquito population has definitely picked up. I had to change the propane tanks on two of them yesterday evening, and there were a LOT of mosquitoes mobbing the mosquito magnets. Yellow flies seem to be well on the way out, however. Apparently caught lots of them in the mosquito magnets, so I'm sure they helped.

I really need to get out in the yard with the hedge trimmer attachment as the underbrush is taking full advantage of the rain and the fact that the yellow flies kept us stranded indoors for so long.

Got 0.76" of rain so far today. Might be more later on, but it looks like the storms are evaporating to the west of us now.

Nothing here in days. Blazing hot.

I'm up in Richmond, Virginia this weekend. The weather is gorgeous! No rain. It was 77 with 33% humidity yesterday and 62 this morning. Love it!

Temperatures here have actually been pretty mild for June. Today only got into the low 80s. One of my mosquito magnets bit the dust today, so I'm trying to figure out how to fix it, because I need it RIGHT NOW! I think the mosquitoes are about done eating the yellow flies, so they are turning their attentions towards humans.

Probably a clogged fuel nozzle so I found some on Ebay. Looked at some pretty informative videos on YouTube that go into detail about how to repair these things. Looks like a rather easy fix if that is the culprit.

94f here. No rain in 11 days.

Connie and I walked down to our temporary pond near the large bamboo grove to see if the pond held any water that could be a mosquito breeding area. Nope. Bone dry even after the rain we have had lately.

Interestingly enough, no yellow flies to speak of, and even the mosquitoes were not as much of a problem as I thought they would be.

The forecast for rain has lightened up quite a bit for the next several days, but still, even with a 20 percent chance, being under that 1 in 5 spot and getting a thunderstorm can still produce quite a bit of rain.

Got rain late two nites in a row.
