There is a group coming over from the East Coast and will be coming up I-75. There is a chance we can hook up with them once we get all our ducks in a row.

Sounds great, how many are coming from the east coast??

SteveK 02-19-2007 08:55 PM

Just made a reservation at the Days Inn in Punta Gorda. We will be arriving late Saturday night from the East Coast. Taking 70 accross the state.

SWFCC Caravan Itinerary

Ok Folks, the big day is almost here. Based on our discussions at tonight's meeting, there will be two meeting places:

1. The Cracker Barrel East of I-75 on SR 80 (Palm Beach Blvd) - Linda and her posse will be departing right around 8:30 AM Sunday, the 25th. Approximately 5-6 cars are expected.

2. The rest area on I-75 to the north @ Jones Loop - Dom and his posse will be departing right around 9 AM Sunday, the 25th. Another 5-6 cars are expected.

3. Estimated arrival at show is just prior to 10 AM start.

During the caravan, we want to stay together so that we arrive together and can be parked in same area as a club group.

For all other Vette owners reading this (Pedro/Howard/etc.) you are welcomed to join us as well.

98 softtail 02-20-2007 10:43 PM

 I don't plan on showing my car, I am sure there are nicer cars than mine out there, so Do I have to register?

Thanks,
Joe B.

No Joe, you don't have to register if you are not going to park with the other vettes. You would just park like any other spectator and come and enjoy the show.
On the other hand, should you register, you would enjoy the company of your fellow vette owners, maybe get a goodie bag with a few things in it and most importantly you would show your support to what ever cause the show is supporting.

98 softtail 02-21-2007 10:04 AM

:dancer01: Okey Dokey then, I guess I will be registering. I'm not driving all the way there and then parking like any other spectator, no sir not me, I'm parking with all the other vettes, maybe even get a goodie bag!

ADulay 02-21-2007 12:56 PM

Darn it.

Everybody's gonna be there and I'll miss it due to being at work out of the country and the thing is right in my back yard!!!

Arrrrrrrgh.

98 softtail 02-21-2007 10:50 PM

Well i tried calling and emailing the folks connected with this Sunday's show, but didn't get an answer on the phone or a reply from the several emails. Hmmmm? I noticed that the last time their webpage was updated was in '05.
another hmmm. Are the phone numbers correct? Is there even a show going to happen on the 25th. I didn't get any answers, maybe someone else can.
Let me know.....

Thanks,
Joe B.

I spoke with some of their club members last week and show is definitely on. There does not seem to be any deadline for registrations. This late in the game, you are better off registering at event on Sunday.

See ya there,
Armando
