Who's Going To The Clewiston Sugar Festival Car Show

Hosted by the City of Clewiston Chamber of Commerce

Saturday, April 28, 2007 accross from the Clewiston Inn on SR 27

Sometime in February of 2007, their website, www.clewiston.org/festival.htm will be fully updated with all details regarding car show, headliners, etc.

I know it is still a ways off, but this may be good cruise opp to mark on our calendars, to invite some of the other clubs and meet for breakfast (Flo & Ellas In Labelle) before going over there. Definitely a good topic for conversation during the next couple of months.

Cruise in Oppotunity To Clewiston?

This event could serve as a good opportunity for caravans from both the east and west coasts. The Festival is accross street from Clewiston Inn where last big cruise in took place. Who's in??

Is Flo & Ellas the place with the great pies?:crazy03:

I have a friend, who knows a guy that has a cousin that dated the daughter of a guy that knew a guy that married the sister of the guy that can get you any car you want. Any color, any option. Just say the word. Keep in mind that all sales a cash and you don't ever get to meet him. Oh, you might have to be creative when you register it as well. So let me know. END QUOTE:

Angel and I were looking for something to do in April...this may be it.

It's not on the calendar and I'd have missed it, if it wasn't for als2052 posting events like he does.

Thanks als2052:thumbsup:

You are welcomed and my pleasure.

Like I mentioned in my previous thread, this could serve as our cruise-in to Clewiston this year. The festival is across the street from the Clewiston Inn. There was a car show last year, great food and entertainment. If there is enough interest, someone on the east and west coasts could set up their respective caravans to the event. I am less than 30 minutes west of Clewiston so would be hooking up with west coast caravan as they pass by where I am at.

Clewiston is my hometown...three generations of my family are from Clewiston. I use to party VERY hard at the Clewiston Inn, great place to get sloshed, especially since you can walk about 10 ft. from the bar to a room for the night.

I already have something on my calendar for this date but I may try to move some things around...I'll be watching this thread.

Do you know if a car show is in the works again this year and if so, where do you register?

Not sure what you're asking:confused: , A car show in Clewiston? I wouldn't know. I moved to the east coast right after high school and I only visit "C" town once or twice a year now.

Sorry to not be of any help...:shrug01:

Registration Flyers Coming

There is already some talk about a caravan possibly coming from the East Coast. Hoping to see the same from our end.

Spoke with the car show organizers this afternoon and as soon as I get the flyers, I will post them here. Stay tuned...

Just received show flyer via email. Unfortunately due to graphics involved, I cannot post but will gladly forward it on to you if you email me.

Armando
Got the email with the flyer. Unless I have to work that weekend it should be a go for us. We went to the show at the Clewiston Inn last year and had a good time. This WOULD make a nice caravan from this coast. We had quite a few last time.

Spoke to Big Lake Cruisers Club President tonight and he highly suggests reception being given on Friday night, 4/27.

He also suggest that those coming in groups should pre-register ASAP and on day of show arrive together as early as possible (7:30 - 8:00AM) to get a good spot together.

They are expecting a big turnout.

2Vettes 03-21-2007 10:04 PM

We're talking about it.

My wife had a booth at the Clewiston Show last year for her company. Great live music all day long, outstanding food everywhere you look. Had the SUV as we were taking up all her materials she needed. Here is pictures from last years show however.
