CITGO/PETRO EXPRESS
CITGO/CHANGING NAME
If you are not already aware of it, CITGO is owned by Venezuela and their President Chavez has made it no secret that he is using the oil profits to do anything he can do harm the United States. I had to forward this, because Chavez is starting to feel the loss of revenue from his holdings. This is a very important move that everyone should be aware. VERY IMPORTANT MEMO: ANNOUNCED JUST RECENTLY, CITGO, BEING AWARE THAT SALES ARE DOWN DUE TO U. S. CUSTOMERS NOT WANTING TO BUY FROM "CHAVEZ."... HAVE STARTED TO CHANGE THE NAME OF SOME OF THEIR STORES, TO: "PETRO EXPRESS" ; DO NOT BUY FROM "PETRO EXPRESS", EITHER. AS TRUE ABOUT CITGO, "PETRO EXPRESS" IS ALSO 100% OWNED BY "CHAVEZ" .... |
I read something about this, thanks

I stopped buying Citgo the day after Chavez's "Devil" speech. I now us BP which was merged with Amoco.
|
Yeah, I read about that as well. I've been using Chevron whenever I can, and Amoco/BP as a second choice.
But you know, if it is AMERICAN owners of those Citgo stations, maybe they should be asking themselves if that is such a wise idea on their part.... :shrug01: |
Although Petro Express outlets have sold Citgo gasoline, the company announced in October 2006 that the chain was phasing out sales of Citgo Petroleum Corp. gasoline and by 2007 would no longer be vending the brand.
