If you have never done this you are missing one of the best parts of owning and driving a Corvette. This will not hurt your toy!!!!....Bring a Helmet!!!...thats all you need!!!

Very cool. I'm hoping to also do a couple of events from the boys at http://wedrivefast.com. They bounce from St. Pete, Lakeland, and Brooksville.

I just registered Deb and I for the autocross class on the 10th and the Autocross race on the 17th. :dancer01: I am hoping to get some track time in this year. :dancer01:

I enjoy the road course much more then the quarter. Bing bang boom the drag race is over and then you go and sit and wait. But the RC is a blast. Did Gainesville several times last year and had a great deal of fun.

Once the car is back together I will be out there running.

that wont happen. usually they let you walk the track, then go through it once or twice in your car at a slow pace to get to know it. Most ease their way into it. When I was at Gainesville, I slowly got better with my times and hit 120 mph on the back stretch, that was damn fun.

My first pass was like 1 minute 10 seconds and by the time I was done several hours later I go it down to 51 seconds flat.

Just go for it.

I did the prelim inspection on the '00 this evening...

I started at the bottom...

Checked the tires for anything strange... checked the air pressure...

Checked the Exhaust ...

Check the intake...

Check the car....

We had a great time... not the fastest, but not the slowest... Looking foward to the next autoX. This could be habit forming...
