What: Antique Appraisal Fair and Auto Shine n Show

Why:

This charity benefit show is being hosted by Summerville at Clearwater ~ an Assisted Living Facility, to benefit the Florida Gulf Coast Chapter of Alzheimer's Association.

But the kicker is that they have asked Corvettes Anonymous to participate. In return, they are also asking attendees to bring a non-parishable food item to be donated to RCS Foodbank of Clearwater.

BINGO! They have hit two major planks in my personal soapbox! :dancer01:

Feel free to bring your antique treasures for appraisal. $5 / item or 3 for $12.
Appraisals will be made by Dale Smrekar of the Downsizing Advisory Service. All proceeds from the appraisals go to the Florida Gulf Coast Alzheimer's Association.

If you have any room left in the :vette: , please throw in a box of pasta or bag of beans!

For those who would like to go in together, we will meet at the Starbuck's located next door to Sonny's BBQ, on the NE corner of Curlew Rd and US 19.

We need to LEAVE sbux by 0900 in order to get there by 0930 and get set up.

Thank you for a nice show yesterday. The weather and other things let to a small show, but everything else was fun. Met new people, great hot dogs and the staff at the facility was very nice to all of us. I won "Second Place" and received a gift $25.00 certificate. The live music was also a nice addition to the show. TBV and I will put alot of effort into the "Steak and Shake" show and make that even better this year for CA.

My first day back in about 5! There are soooooooooo many projects going on here at the house that I am about ready to jump ship :lmao:


anyway, I was going to write an open letter to TBV thanking them for the support they (and you) are giving Corvettes Anonymous!

Many people don't really know it, but we are NOT A CLUB. We are a V loose Association, with no officers, no meetings, but a shared passion for this Corvette hobby.

Locally, we kinda do things on the spur of the moment. I send out a distribution notice that we are going to --> ?????. If folks want to go, fine. If not, heck, we'll catch you next time. The only rules are "Have fun" "Enjoy The Hobby" and "Be nice to the 'other' guy".

I don't have the member list open at the moment, but I can tell that we have members who are also members of almost every single "Organized" Corvette club in FL! TBV has a bunch!

What I believe is So Cool, is that you folks at TBV not only openly solicit other clubs to take part in your functions, but you go out of your way to support others.

Jim, TBV / Corvettes Anonymous members represented the LION"S share of Saturday's Antique Appraisal, Car Show, Wet T-shirt event.

On behalf of Corvettes Anonymous, I am both honored and grateful.

As for Steak-Out 08, that will be May 9Th. ANYBODY with a Corvette, Muscle Car, Custom, Rod, Exotic, or just your daily driver is welcome and wanted.
