State of the Union.....
 

Just endured the State of the Union speech. According to our fearless leader everything is just peachy. I disagree.

I think they all either live in a fantasy world, or are so used to lying that they believe their own lies.

Yep and the BS rolls on .

they tell us everything is ok so there is not a widespread panic. if the people knew how bad it is, they would stop spending money thus slowing the economy and causing another recession.

There is really never an acceptable reason for government officials to tell lies to their constituents. Lies can cause people make non-optimum decisions about their own future. Such decisions can cause results that range from trivial to disastrous, but in most cases, had the truth been known, quite likely BETTER decisions could be made.

Can an economy REALLY talk it's way out of a recession? Can anyone realistically prepare effectively for a future when the present is obscured by lies? Does anyone really appreciate the government playing games with OUR future when those people will never miss a meal, no matter how bad things may really be or get?
