Cedar Key, FL
Great "old Florida" fishing village on the gulf at the point where the Suwanee river enters the Gulf. Clam capitol of the world you can get em any way you want. Two fine dining restaurants, Island Room, and the Island Hotel. Wonderful chefs and great service. Not a party place and not too touristy.

Connie and I never really had much luck with the restaurants on Cedar Key. Either the food has been bad, or the service has been bad. But I guess those places change hands pretty quickly, so each time you are there you might have a different crew in the kitchen.
Last time we were there it seemed like most of the little shops were gone. They used to have some interesting ones years ago, but I guess the economy took it's toll on them. Still, not a bad destination for a drive if you want to just get out for a while. |
I'll at least look it up .Thanks

They have an art festival there (I think it's in April) that Star and I used to go to. Kinda got out of the habit. Maybe this year? :shrug01:

I looked up the place and I'll add it to my bucket list .
