Hi, I'm new to the forum. I've recently inherited this vehicle from my uncle, and have only driven it about 50 miles, so am not an expert on corvettes or this car. I do know my way around an engine, and this one sounds and runs as expected with only 30k miles. The belts needed changing so did that. Also changed the hazard switch, blower motor relay, front turning bulbs, wiper blades, air filter, Lloyd floor mats, and a new Optima Battery. I'm located in Cocoa Beach, Florida. Local pickup only. She is a 2001 Chevy Corvette Convertible C5 5.7L with only 30,900 miles! Has 6 speed manual transmission so her performance is awesome at any speed! ABOUT the 2001 C5 Corvette with 6 speed manual transmission: Front mid-engine with rear-wheel-drive and transmission gives 50-50% front-rear weight distribution. Vehicle is mostly aluminum and SMC fiberglass, with a curb weight of only 3247 lbs. In 2001, the all aluminum LS1 overhead valve engine increased to 350 hp, and the Active Handling System became standard. Fuel economy was increased to 23/28 mpg, yet can still go 0-60 mph in 4.5 seconds, with a standing quarter-mile time of 13.3 seconds at 108 mph, and top speed of 175 mph.
