What a rush!!!

Took my new c6 a6 for spin, and also went to the Chevy dealer, for history check for the Vette. Seems the roof was redone three times in the past, and some work on the radio.

The LS2 was a beast in the cooler air, i mean this car pulls hard! Even makes my 05 GTO seem tame, and it really makes my 04 z51 seem slow!

Don't know if just a tune on my stock car would would help out that much?

So far i'm more than happy with my new toy!

It sounds like you are having fun!
Enjoy the ride!:crazy03:

Enjoy your new ride...you are going to love the C6!

I also notice the difference in the cooler weather. I recently installed a 160 deg. thermostat and now have cruising temps (coolant) of 178-180. If your new car has a stock thermostat you will have cruising temps of 198-200 in normal FL weather. I guess I am of the old school that cooler is better:yesnod:

My C6 runs around 215 in traffic and 195 highway, it was the same for my 05 LS2 GTO. Seems cars are made to run hotter these days.

Yeah, I still heat up in traffic to 215+. Plan to have the fans adjusted when I get tuned so that hopefully I don't go over 200. I still like the lower temp stat.

Still have around 325 miles left to go before I can exceed 55 mph (according to the manual)........ :banghead:

Now how many new Corvette owners REALLY follow those guidelines? Can you imagine buying a brand new Z06 and doing that..... :ahh:

Nope...can't imagine. I obeyed the 500 mi thing pretty well except for minor interstate driving where I got up to 70 or 75 for short periods. I think RPMs are more critical than speed, especially for sustained periods. In any event, the first 500 are tough..:banghead:

I should be broke in pretty good at 4500miles. I also plan on a tune very soon!

When are you going to post pics of the new vette?? Did I miss them somewhere?? How about a new avatar?

CHASZ51 01-14-2007 05:59 PM

Guess when someone that has a cam can take some pics of the C6 and post em up for me. I have no clue on posting pics on forums!

Chas
