Sticking in park
 

Has anyone with an Auto transmission had the dreaded stuck in park issue?

I'm thinking about taking it in

there is a video about just tying the locking mechanism back I'm not sure if that is safe

Has anyone paid to have it done. what should the cost for the repair be?
