Monthly Business Meeting
 

There is a new location for this months business meeting. It will be held at Champion Chevrolet beginning at 7:00. Not a lot of people were eating at Golden Corral (me included, the food was just very good, over priced, and the place looked like a pig pen in the meeting room), the manager sent word by the help during the meeting:thumbsdown: that more people needed to eat to continue using the room; it was handled in a very poor and unprofessional manner, any way they get their wish. After the meeting will get dinner at a nearby place, anyone that wants is welcome to join. :wavey:

Yeah, I have been to the Golden Corral once, several years ago, and never had any inclination to go back there. Just never had much luck with food trough style restaurants.....

The new building at Champion Chevrolet is pretty nice. Probably a much better place for your meetings.

What actually takes place at the monthly business meetings?

OK, "business" may be a bit of a stretch, but ya gotta call it something. Beverly reviews activities from the previous month, lets everyone know about stuff planned for the current month and beyond, have any discussions that anyone feels neccessary, gives members a chance to share anything they want with the group, make plans for new activities or whatever is relevant at that particular time. I know it sounnds really exciting, but occasionally something actually comes out of a "business meeting" other than adjorning for dinner and a cold beer afterwords. Most importantly, adjorn for dinner and a cold beer with other corvette owners.:crazy03:

Heck, since the meeting is taking place at Champion Chevy now, maybe they could get more involved directly. Maybe get Shane to come in now and again and give a "how to" lesson on some things. Or maybe one of the sales staff to discuss anything they know about the newer models going to be offered next season. Hell, even a door prize of a free oil change or something.

Not that any of that would help us, though....

Thursday nights are just nearly impossible for us to get out, because we normally have employees working here from 2pm until around 10pm or better.

Speaking of which, if you post the dates of your Cruise In and Business meetings on the calendar here, maybe it will help jog some people's memories. For some reason, the third Saturday night of the month doesn't register on me until it has passed on by... :rolleyes:
