OnStar - How unprofessional
........................................................................................................
My trial subscription to OnStar is about to expire. For the past two weeks, my home phone's caller ID shows OnStar calls twice a day but doesn't leave any message. :NoNo: I don't drive the car often, so when I started the car over the weekend, OnStar broadcast a message through the car's audio system that the subscription is about to expire. This message was repeated three times and I couldn't stop it- I had to listen to the sales pitch. :NoNo: :NoNo: I can't see why OnStar never leaves a message on the phone, but at the same time they force you to hear their pitch through the car's OnStar. I think this knocks down their reputation a few notches. |
Heck, I get two or three emails from Sirius XM concerning my satellite radio subscription having expired on my 2009 C6Z even though it expired at least 5 years ago. I only put one tank of gasoline in that car last year, so I really don't drive it that much. Certainly not enough to warrant paying a yearly fee for a radio I would never listen to.
I like having it in the Jeep, but we drive that vehicle a LOT more and it is worthwhile to me. If I had them yammering to me over the internal speaker in my car, I would drive the vehicle to the dealership the next day and have them just yank that crap out of there. I get inundated with advertising enough as it is without having that sort of crap. It could have startled you enough to where you got distracted and had an accident. |
That and XM will drive ya nuts.
