Racing

I'm just wondering if any members are racing this month. I went down to PBIR 2 weeks ago and I'm trying to decide whether to go today or not. Right now it's 101 deg in Palm Bay and yesterday it was 104 deg all afternoon.

Maybe it's an age thing but this heat is killing me.

...it's an age thing....

Nah, the heat is brutal. Luckily, our autocross season ends in July. Next race isn't till September. I couldn't imagine really enjoying a full-out track day anywhere in florida during the month of august.

:lmao:buncha lightweights:lmao:
(as I type this from my air conditioned office;))

Hey shakedown, I won't comment on the non racer in here but I decided to tough it out and head south to PBIR. Then I noticed the inside of the drivers side rear wheel. Solid grease. Guess they need to seat that seal a little better after installing the 2nd tranny.

It's a comfy 75 deg in here.

:rolleyes:please:rolleyes:

Since I'm the only other person in this thread, I will deduce from that, your comment was aimed at me?
In response:

1) You obviously don't understand sarcasm.
2) "it's an age thing" can apply to any of us.
3) If you look at the comment in (parentheses), you would have noted the hypocritical notation (apparently Shakedown got it:thumbsup:).

One really shouldn't assume things.

I've certainly done my share of "racing" and high speed driving:rofl1:

And frankly, I wouldn't even consider going "racing" in heat like we've been having lately.
There have been heat advisories all over the state with "feels like temps" over 100 degrees!
Good heat stroke and exhaustion weather my friend and the older we get, the more succeptable we become. The actual effects of heat can be reduced by fitness, hydration and paying close attention to your body's clues.

Besides, automotive parts take a serious beating the hotter it becomes and performance tends to suffer.

Just a "non-racers" POV:wavey:

I understood your post as you intended. Did I say something that set you off? Maybe you're just having a bad day? Talk about making a mountain out of nothing.

BTW, I didn't take it as sarcasm:

Sarcasm is “a sharp, bitter, or cutting expression or remark; a bitter jibe or taunt.

I agree, it's been too damn hot around here to do ANYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!

Shadow 08-01-2010 12:52 PM

You're too easy:rofl1:

Nope:nonod: Just responding. Don't mind if people respond to your comments do you?

Maybe you're just having a bad day?
Well, other than being in constant pain for the last 3 days with my lower back, (it's that whole age and ugly living thing again), my day is going very well:thumbsup:

Talk about making a mountain out of nothing.
Nope:NoNo:
Just a response. Nothing more:thumbsup:

Well then, that's good to hear:thumbsup:

So, whose repairing your transmission?
Did you find the source of the grease?
