Thanks for the post Gordon. I didn't know about this or Miami. Very sad.

January is always been a bad month for LEO for some reason.

Its a sad day on the west coast

Shadow 01-24-2011 09:50 PM

Last I heard, I think there were 14 officers shot in this month alone nationwide.

There's got to be a reason?

Stay safe out there boys and girls.

Wow. There's been too much of this going on lately.:nonod: The chief needs to think before he speaks. Why would you not consider the possibility of gunfire while trying to arrest a guy who was convicted of armed robbery? Also, if the officers trying to serve the warrant called for back-up, why didn't they wait for it to arrive? Strange. Either way, it's very sad.

It is very sad. Police Officers, Fireman, and the Military are all special people for choosing to serve. I pray for families of the fallen.

I visited the makeshift memorial inside the SPPD lobby today.
That was hard.:(

I was also privy to some facts that were not released to the press.
I can't/won't share them here for obvious reasons, but suffice to say, this needn't have happened:(

For those of you still doing the job...please...please...be careful...
