procharged z06

Im looking into procharging my 03 z06 iwth 6k miles on her. Currently it has intake headers xpipe no cats and B&B prt exhaust. I want to build this car right What all should i do along with the procharger kit? Harded out put shafts, cam package, clutch? things like that. thanks mike

the stock clutch is a weak link for sure. Also being in florida, a meth kit would be something to look into.

Depends on how much boost you are planning on. I'm running 6.5 lbs with my STS kit with stock drivetrain with no issues so far. That's with 530hp at the rear wheels. I'm hoping the clutch will hold out until I feel the "need" for a forged motor.....

I've heard accounts of some slight overheating problems with superchargers, but accounts seemed to be spotty and not everyone had that sort of problem. But perhaps a DeWitts radiator and 160 thermostat might be a reasonable idea to consider.

i want to push 4-6 lbs of boost is the plan.

Well...

Old post but ...

You def. want a new clutch, I would do a spec stage 2 or a 2+ with a Fidanza aluminum flywheel , if you are going to be launching the car hard at the drag strip then def. do the hardened shafts.

As far as the overheating problems with the 8 or 9 cars we've done with Prochargers, we have yet to see any overheating problems, dont mean it cant happen just saying we havent seen any.

Are you gonna do this yourself or you gonna get someone to do this for you?

Right now we have a special for the month of June on the Procharger's, just something to think about
