This is actually an excerpt from an email I sent to Rob earlier today.

As you know, Steak-Out has always been about food for RCS. You also know that mine & Betsy’s other crusade is to help Alzheimer’s Association, Respite Care Services.
Looks like we will be able to do both at Steak-Out this year!
Obviously donated food + 50/50 goes to RCS.
All of our Partners have been exceptionally kind to us this year but Wal*Mart has blown me completely away. Last year, they gave us a check for $250 and said to be sure to count on them again this year. Well this year, they have given us a check for $1,000! At Wal*Mart, that is nearly 1000 pounds of dried beans!!!!
We added raffling the Gift Baskets this year with the thought in mind that each basket would have a retail value between $35 à $50. X 5 baskets. I am ecstatic to report that the lowest retail value basket is $269 wile the highest retail value is $436. We have over $1600 retail value in gift baskets to raffle!!!
We also have a retail value of almost $800 in items to be offered through the 50/50 drawings.
So, here’s how we’re going to do something for Alzheimer’s Association Respite Care Services.
As above, food + 50/50 will go to RCS but the $$ raised from Gift Basket Sales will go to Respite Care Services.
The really cool thing is that while the Directors from both organizations will be there, the AA person is not expecting anything at all, and the RCS person has no earthly idea about the $1000 check!:dancer01::dancer01::dancer01:

As it turns out, we have over $1,800 in the retail value of 50/50 raffle and Gift Basket merchandise. We also have $690 in Class and Best of Show Awards.
All we need now it God's Great Florida Weather, a BUNCH of cars, and a couple of tons of food for RCS! :thumbsup:
