Got a Chevy bolt

The hell with gas at the rate it is going up. Got tired of getting around 10mpg in the Camaro and not being able to drive it on the open roads. Gas could be $5+ for Prem soon the rate it is going up.

Yeah, isn't it just WONDERFUL having Biden as president? :dead:

I took the vette out for a ride today, and noticed that the local Shell station has regular gas for $3.09 a gallon now. I checked my records and on 12/30/2020 when I took out the Jeep to get the tank filled up, regular was $2.19 a gallon at that time. :ack2:

I guess when the vette needs to get the tank filled up, I will probably have a stroke when I see what the price of 93 octane is now. :dead:

They want to force us out of gas cars. At least the bolt is faster than my Camaro from 0 to 30mph.

They have a 8 year warranty and or 100k miles. I drive 50 miles a week and never keep a car that long. Had 5 cars in less than a year.

Until charging stations are as readily available EVERYWHERE as gasoline pumps, and the time to recharge is equal or less than the time it takes to fill up a gas tank, not likely for the electric cars to catch my attention.

Quite frankly, the "global warming" crap just doesn't make any sense to me, so what is the REAL agenda with the push to electric vehicles?

If i had to make long drives i would not have bought a EV. I drive 4 miles to work and back and one 4 mile trip to the store and that is it. Very rare i drive more than 30 miles from home and never past 80 miles.

And if i want to go to level 2 charging i have to buy a charger for around $500 and pay someone to install it and rig up a 220v outlet that would cost another 1k or around there.

The included charger takes 1 hour per 4 miles of driving. I think i am fine with the slow charger.

When I worked at the Ford dealer someone brought in an Escort Hybrid that was 5 years old. The battery was only good for 7 years. They wouldn't even talk to them about a trade. Replacement cost IIRC was around $4000 back then. (2012 I believe)

I don't think i will ever go to gas unless it stays below $2.50 a gal and i don't see it ever going down again.
