Host club corvettes are not being included in the contest for the trophies.

Come out and hang on the top level of the pier sipping your favorite drink in the shade while the show is going on!

See you there!:dancer01:

PS, there is a portable ramp the pier uses to get the cars up over the curb without any scraping issues, even on lowered vettes!

Thanks, planning on attending........Tom:thumbsup:

This is one show I have never attended.
Always seem to be out of town.
Lets see what this year brings.

We've been a few times. Always a nice show and you can't beat the location and the view! Too bad it's Labor Day weekend this year. Plan to be at the NCM that weekend

You should try to come on out. I've seen that great car of yours at several other shows including the former OctoberVettes (now same weekend called VetteFest I think). Registration is limited due to the obvious limited space, so register early. It's a good show!

MADN3SS 05-15-2006 08:02 AM

I'm going to try and make it in the show this year.

ELBIE 05-15-2006 08:06 AM

 SURE LOOKS LIKE A GREAT SHOW...................

IVOZ06 05-15-2006 08:56 AM

I have been told it is a nice show but it is hot as well you know and there is no shade...

Thats why I did not go last year. I may go as a spectator because by noon it time for a cold one...

If I register, will I be allowed to leave early?

Rich Z 05-15-2006 11:19 AM

Wish I could attend, but September is a killer for me with my business.

Yes you may, although the door prizes and such won't be all done yet.:)

I'll agree it's a hot time of year (we walk around judging and assisting in parking), but if you attend you can sit in the shade on top of the pier at Cha-Cha Coconuts (inside or outside shade), or inside the pier on ground level in the A/C snack bar area.

I believe ther's a little tiki bar on the ground level with some outdoor shade seating for that noon time cold one,, LOL

I'm making plans for this... When is the drop dead registration date? And what's the plans for if one of those big white whirly things comes up to visit?

Aug 6th is the end of registration, or when the space is full, whichever comes first.

If a hurricane will make landfall that weekend then it will be moved to Sept 9th, the next weekend. It's a rain or shine show except for a hurricane landfall.

Look forward to seeing you there!:wavey:

Been to the pier a dozen times at various shows but not with all Vettes. Question; you divided the C5 group into two catagories, not that they changed that much, but how come the C4 group (which did change at 92) is all in one group?

I know the shows are all for fun, but it's nice to compete and maybe beat out some in the same class, but it seems no matter where I go I run into a couple of the GS guys who compete in shows and have less miles than some cars you see in the showroom.

I believe it's simply due to the overall large number of C5's that are on the road and enter the shows. It appears that right now the C5's have the largest class in the shows. C4's (Which I've owned before and love) seem to fall by the wayside as new models come out. Most people want the newest generation and don't stick to an older generation they love. I would imagine that in the next few years as people buy newer vettes, the C6's will be the most common generation to be at shows and have the largest show class.

We would like to get a larger variety, so we would be very happy to have you join us for the show!:yesnod:

I for one, when I can afford it, will most likely be buying a C4 in addition to my C5. I would love to get a '96. I just wish I could afford the Grand Sport!

My club (Citrus County Corvettes) has already announced your show as one of the shows that we would be coming down to. Can't say how many will turn out for the drive down.

Z06 Rocket 07-18-2006 07:07 AM

Gettin close guys! Only a little over a month away! Looking forward to seeing as many of you there as we can!:wavey:

Z06 Rocket 08-06-2006 11:50 PM

Were a little over 70% full with the registration. Come on out and enjoy the sun and fun out on the pier!

MADN3SS 08-07-2006 07:21 AM

I just noticed the zip code on the sign up sheet. It should really be 33757. They changed it about 9-10 years ago. It'll still get there, but could be delayed. A heads up from your friendly Postal worker. :hehehe:

I'll be mailing in my application today.

Scott

Z06 Rocket 08-08-2006 10:08 PM

Huh,,,, I'll pass that on, however it's probably too late for this years show. I'll make sure it's passed on so that zip code won't happen on the next show we host.

Z06 Rocket 08-29-2006 03:43 PM

Well pre-registration is sold out. Looks like if everyone shows it will be a full house.

I still would invite you to stop by and enjoy the show. I think the storm will be by before Saturday. It could be a little rainy but the nasty part should be in north Florida or the Carolinas by then.

See you all there!:wavey:
