Friday night cruises in Tampa Bay?

Are there any Friday night cruises in Tampa Bay? Someone is coming in from out of town and I wanted to have someplace to take them. There's Biff's, but that seems to be just for antiques, oh, excuse me, "classics". :reddevil:

Try Friday nites @ Wendy's in Palm Harbor (US 19, just N. of Nebraska). Mostly street rods, some antiques and a few vettes & stangs. Usually 25-50 cars.:hehehe:

 Wendy's does have a nice show.

Theres also the Dairy Queen on Gunn Highway right across for the Citrus Park Mall (that might be citrus park drive or some such s**t!), anyway, just west of the Veterans expressway.

Usually has a great turn out and some nice rides from all generations!!

Seen a lot of vettes and camaros up there as well.

Pretty nice show. If you need directions, pm me.

Saturday Nights

Will Saturday work?

Last Saturday we met at Andry's (Insta Lube) and hung out for awhile and then went to Burger King. We had about 8 corvettes show up...and at Burger King there was about 30 or so cars...Rods etc. We would be pleased to have all of you show up...We meet at 5:00 til 7:00 every Saturday... then head over to Burger King on Gunn.

We are at Dale Mabry and Erlich, next to Pizza Hut.

Great input, thanks guys.

You know, it might be nice to have a "cruise nights" page on the Forum, in conjuction with the calendar. I'd hate to clutter the events calendar with all the recurring cruise night things, but it would also be nice to have a single place to look them up. Maybe we could have a second calendar gizmo just for cruise nights?

Funny you should mention that;)

FWIW, I've been in talks over the last couple of months with the head management of a nationwide burger chain (TBA later;)) regarding just that issue:thumbsup:

Our F-body group along with this company are going to fire up a cruise in just after the first of the year.

A lot of people are/were fed up with Setzers. Too much talk, poor lighting and a less than warm reception in some cases (he had one of the vette members escorted off the property:thumbsdown: ). Everything else was too far to go:(

This is centrally located and easy access of any of the major interstates. There should be more than adequate parking and if it works out, will bring the old fashio cruise in back to Tampa:thumbsup: :dancer01:

My hope is to have a safe, legal place to hang out and meet, a DJ (mixed music styles), open entry, food, drinks (non-alcoholic-sorry) and comaraderie among enthusiasts!

eventually we may do trophies, but for the time being, it's just planned as a place to hang, meet and greet!

The management has been VERY RECEPTIVE to the idea and I should have more definate plans laid by the first of the year (yeah, I know-2 weeks! )

I think a cruise in forum might be nice too:thumbsup:

Anyway, there ya are ladies and gents...and you too Ray.....:rofl1:
