NOW we add in the 1953 - 1966 production totals:

1953 production: 300
1954 production: 3,640
1955 production: 700
1956 production: 3,467
1957 production: 6,339
1958 production: 9,168
1959 production: 9,670
1960 production: 10,261
1961 production: 10,939
1962 production: 14,531
1963 production: 21,513
1964 production: 22,229
1965 production: 23,564
1966 production: 27,720

Thats a total of 164,041 Corvettes produced for those MY's of 1953 - 1966.

Add in the 749,838 reported to be registered, to the 1953 - 1966 production numbers, then thats a total of 913,879.

Total Corvette production, according to the Corvette Action Center, from the first MY1953 and up to and including MY2008 is: 1,483,729.

These numbers mean that there are approx 569,850 Corvettes unaccounted for!! :shrug01: And we still don't know about all the 1953 - 1966 that exist...and what states they are registered??!! :shrug01:

Given that a few here and there have been totaled, burned, parted out, put in junk yards and hidden in a barns, etc., but thats over a half million Corvettes we can't find!!

Where's the rest? :hehehe:

Wow, Florida has the second most @ 58k, CA has 71k though... damn.

vettejack 03-28-2009 08:08 AM

Yep....Florida is #2...

but it makes you wonder why so many underpowered cars are in California! :hehehe:

While Vermont and D.C. have low numbers, it only proves that the ones in D.C. just haven't been stolen yet! :rofl1:

And in Vermont? They are into GreenPeace, EcoNazi type garbage burning vehicles of 2, 3, 4 and 6 cylinders that get less MPG than the Corvette...:hehehe:....yet those damn lawns will be green!!!:lmao:
