St Augustine Info

thinking of cruising to St Augustine and making a long weekend of it this coming MLK weekend...Will probably stay @ Hampton Inn there in historic area and hit the outlet malls on Saturday and St Aug itself on Sunday...Any suggestions and/or advice?

We did a Corvetteflorida group trip there a few years ago (search the inn on Charlotte).

Great little B&B, Pretty easy access to everything.

Ever been before?

If not, you have to do the fort and ripleys....it's required to get you passport checked:D

The Santa Maria restaurant is a great place to eat:

A few other suggestions:

and a few more:

Check out the back streets for some of the better mom & pop restaurants.
We did one there, it's an italian place, I think it was Amici's but I'm not sure?
Just south of the Inn on Charlotte on the right.

Great food, cool environment.

If the weather cooperates, do the buggy tour....very relaxing!

Enjoy!!:dancer01:

Armando,
We used to live about 15 min. from there before moving to Tampa. If you have time check these out.

1. Lighthouse
2. King George St.
3. Ft. Matanzas
4. Lightner Museum
5. Flagler College Campus
6. Florida National Guard State HQ
7. Ripley's Museum
8. IMAX at the World Golf Village
9. Ponte Vedra Beach
10. Outlets for shopping.

Our favorite restaraunts include:
1. Gypsy Cab Co.
2. The Tasting Room
3. A1A Ale house
4. 95 Cordova
5. The Reef (Great Sunday Brunch)
Not in any order all are good choices.

I agree parking can be a btch unless you know where to go.
1 Along the seawall south of FL NG HQ
2. South behind the Lightner Museum
3. There is a brand new parking area next to the St. Johns Co. School board HQ.
4.Ripleys Parking lot and take the train
