Beware of autoway chev

I am not a member yet.I bought my 2006 vett on aug 1st.It was made on 28th of june.Just to let you know I'm a disabled vet They stoped counting at 170% so my car is my only vice in life.I first bought a used 2004 commmeritive edition at the end of 2005.The car was pretty.I grew up poor and for once want to have something nice nobody else had before me.I have to take morphine and I depend on people not taking advantage of me.I was told I was buying a new 2006 vett w/a Z51 package.I did not even test drive it because I was told it was new. When I picked up the car it would not start so they jumped it.It had a nail in the tire.I pointed out to the salesman that the air pressure was low.He said it's just a few pounds off 26psi.It was raining hard that day so when I got it home I could see all kinds of swirl marks.I had already canceled my warrentys on my 2004 vett for down payment. My old car had been test driven and a buyer was waiting to buy it.That night one of the salesmen took it on a 160 mile joy ride and broke my rear end.I could not take the car back now.I tried to get them to fix or repaint the car. They had me pay their detail shops to buff the car three times it cost me 275.00 come to find out you can't high speed buff the new C6's because of the clair coat system according to the regional paint specialist.Their fault I just did what I was told.I was also told I would be refunded ,I never got that. They said they could fix it ,that amounted to some colored wax that washed off.I brought this to their attn and they won't help.I even called gm no help. When they sold me my car they said it was new.Two months afterhaving the car my salesman told me my car had been used in a hispanic day parade.Help where do I go from here.Again Beware of autoway chev.

Thumper I wish I could help you or send you to someone that could. I do know that you can call the Factory and list your complaint with them. In your case they might just follow-up on it.
I have had my share of problems with the "autoway" group in the past and I would never take another vehicle to them for service.
There are many folks on this forum with more expertise is these matters and I am sure you will get lots of suggestions on how to follow up on this. I think you have a legitimate gripe, get on their a$$ about this.

Good Luck,
Joe B.

Yeah, sorry to hear about your problems with them. It may do you good to see an attorney about this. With your handicap especially, you should have gotten first rate treatment and if you can make the case that they took advantage of your situation then you might be due some serious restitution. Go after them, let GM know. Seems some have said you have to stay on GM's case to get them involved, but if and when they do they well go to bat for you. Good luck! ..........Tom:)

Some people have no Heart :nonod: !
Like the others, I'm truly sorry for your troubles and the bad experience you are going thru.
My only suggestion would be...if there's no one who can help you here, (because of our smaller number) maybe you could post on th CF in a few days or so, where it will get some Nation attention and maybe catch the eye of those who can possibly assist you.
*A side note: Just Curious...If the car was used in a parade wouldn't it be considered a DEMO or maybe even Used?:shrug01: Also, what was the mileage on it when you picked it up?
A further stretch....I'm not sure if the "Lemon Law" would be a avenue to explore, but maybe they could point you in the right direction.?:usa_flag:

Good Luck,

~Ray:thumbsup:

Thanks for all the support.I did call GM and they told me that autoways GM said no.The car did have 11 miles on it but I thought the factory might have test drove it or loading, parking but under no circumstance did they tell me at the time of purchase did they say it had even been test drivin which I could have been alright with, but not drivin in the hispanic day parade.I don't have a lot of extra money the car payment is hard for me to make.I really can't afford a attorney now.The car is not real bad but it has swirls and scratch's that I will never be able to take out.I wish I could just get another 06 and trade mine in.So if any of you work in a dealership The car is loaded it even has seat warmers I owe 64,000 on it I bought all the warrenty's by the time I left the dealer it was 70,000.It has touch screen,nav,Z51 package and chrome wheels. My vin #is 1G1YY26U665131407 I think red, yellow,or sunset orange would be great.my millage is about 6700.I have never did a burn out with this car and is garage kept.Thank you all very much for your help and concerns. You guy's sound like a great bunch of people to hang out with.Thank you all........Ed Friedhoff
