Went the last time with the Citrus County Club, trying to drum up interest for this show. I'm on the board now so I can make sure they know about it.:D

Last time at the museum

I've been to that museum MANY times before it moved.... any one that even likes cars will enjoy "Big Daddy's Place"

Will he be there????? if so COUNT ME IN!!! I've met him twice now and he really makes the visit memorable !!!

I'm not trying to hi-jack this thread (I was kinda the 'ring-leader' of the get-together in January @ Large Father's ), but would anybody like to meet-up next March at Gainesville for the NHRA Gatornationals?

I've started-up a small-business, and with no-time to mess-around with my '82, I've taken it off the street, so I can't make this trip to the Museum, but as stated earlier, ANYBODY who likes cars will love his collection!

The opportunity to tour the Museum with Large Father himself, and hear a living-legend tell his stories is worth twice-the-price:
I'll have to try revising my priorities that day.

10 days don't forget to order your shirts http://www.cafepress.com/cfstreetcars

mrr23 09-11-2007 10:12 PM

5 days left.

remember, there is no registration fee to enter the car show.

plan on entering the premises at 10:00am. not earlier. i will be video taping all entering the premises. you will be directed where to park, once you get your packet at the main entrance. this is the parking map. http://centralfloridastreetcars.com/...parkingmap.jpg if we overflow, then we'll move to the grass area to the right.

there will only be one tour with don garlits. it is at 12:00pm. so, be there and paid by 11:45am. you will get an armband only for the tour. cost is $25.00 and includes admittance to the museums.

there is a swap meet. it will be near the main entrance.

see ya there.

Wish someone had posted this in the calendar area here.

Helps when we try to make plans....

I just posted this event there myself, just in case it might catch someone else's eye.

We may be in the area that weekend. There is a glass show in Sanford that Connie wants to go to, and a gun show in Lakeland that I am thinking about dropping in on. I guess it all depends on timing and where we are on Sunday morning. Looks like it should be fun! We went to the Museum last January, so I guess things haven't changed there much since then. But looks like it should be an interesting crowd of cars there.

So, it looks like a big MAYBE from us. We'll probably be in the Blue C5Z, so keep an eye out for us....

for the state gathering at garlits museum, there are a couple of spots to meet at for the cruise there. in orlando, they will be meeting at the pottery barn shopping center in ocoee at colonial dr and maguire rd at 8:30am. there's a mcdonalds in the parking lot. the turnpike entrance is right there.

also, a group of corvettes are meeting at the turnpike plaza at 8:30am as well.

there is a rally point at the exit for don garlits at 484 and I-75. it's the pilot truck stop for the 10:00am entrance.

remember to plan your time to be at the exit for don garlits by 9:50am. i'll be video taping the 10:00am entrance of everyone.

here's a direction page with pics of the exit and how to enter the don garlits museum.

here's how to enter and park on the premises.
