Introducing the 2008 Corvette 427 Limited Edition Z06
 

Paying respect to a classic is a great way to promote the future and GM has done that with their new 427 Limited Edition Z06 Corvette. The 427 remains as one of the most iconic car culture status symbols of the Sixties - in fact, there is probably no Corvette more coveted and collected than a Corvette with 427 big block engine. Today, Chevrolet's Z06 also features a displacement of 427 cubic inches yet 21st century technology allows them to offer that power compacted into the 7.0 liter small block. The 427 Limited Edition Corvette also takes some styling cues from the Sixties 427 - featuring a Crystal Red exterior and 427 emblems affixed to the Black Stinger hood.

Each of these limited edition Corvettes is numbered and signed by the retiring Wil Cooksey, the man in charge of the Corvette Assembly Plant for the last 15 years. 505 of these Limited Edition Corvettes will be offered with 427 available in the US and Canada and 78 exported outside North America. The Corvette will retail for $84,195 and features the 3LZ premium equipment with a custom leather wrap interior and new chrome wheels.
