2015 Corvette Z06 Get Paint Protection Film

3 Attachment(s)
We recently had the opportunity to work on several 2015 Corvette Z06s. Some of the cars had less than 20 miles and the others had just over 1,000 miles. The ones that had over 1000 miles, it was obvious that the cars need paint protection film. The paint is very soft and with the wide tires kicking up rocks down side of the car it needs maximum film protection.

From what we have seen we recommend the following protection:
Full hood, full fenders, mirrors, lights, air vents, bumper and entire rockers with custom pieces above the rockers. Depending on whether you are going to be tracking the car or taking it to car shows we can recommend the perfect film for your needs.

Stop by today and let us show you our work

Thank You

Interesting. I thought automotive paints were getting harder and more scratch resistant, with a move towards being ceramic based. Why would GM go with a softer paint? Because of brittleness of the harder paints on these "plastic" bodied Corvettes? :shrug01:

All paints are soft. We get cars that come into the shop with 3-5000 miles and they need a paint job already. Tesla, Mclaren and Ferrari probably have the softest paint that i've seen.

So, is a softer paint better in any way than a harder paint, or just cheaper and/or easier for the manufacturers to apply?

Not sure. What i've been told in or around 2000, they made manufacturers switch to a water based paint which is softer.

Used

How old does a Vette have to be before you can't coat it? I'm thinking about buying a used C-7 and was wondering?

"They" being who? Another government edict?

Hello. We cover used cars all the time. As long as the paint is in good shape, we can cover it. Shoot over an e-mail for a quote when the time gets closer.

Thank You.

Certainly recommend Ryan's work. He has done a very nice job on my 2015 ZO6.
