Great Cruise

Tom:
What a nice cruise that was Sunday (01-06-02). Hope someone will post some pictures of us all on the Causeway. Enjoyed seeing some old friends and was a great Resturant location on the water in Tarpon Springs. I guessed we had 30 Corvettes from several clubs including Tampa Bay Vettes.
Thanks again!!
:D Jim :D

Jim I agree. It was a beautiful day, the scenery was just wonderful and the vettes were awesome.

Tom you did a great job and Carrie and I thank you a great deal. Wish I had remembered my camera but hopefully someone will get some pics up soon.

We loved walking Tarpon Springs, it had been so many years since I had been there.

I'll try again later today or tonight....

Hey! Thanks for the Kudos! Betsy had A Lot to do with picking the restaurant and the route, but with the Epiphany celebration, we were winging it from the moment we left Fred Howard Park! Guess all those years in Fast Food Site Selection finally paid off! :rofl1::rofl1::rofl1:

Betsy and Ken Mette took quite a few pics, but I'm hoping others will also send me theirs. Here is a link to what I have so far.

Thanks for a Great Time Y'all!

Wasn't all that sane here either! :rofl1: but the cruise was Great Therapy!

We're doing a similar one the 3rd Sat morning in Feb = 2/16, but it will run along the coastal St Petersburg. Talk about a challenge! Details to follow.

Then then the Big One for the first 1/4 will be a run to Myakka to see the Lipizzan Stallions.

That will be the morning of 3/8. Watch for details because we'd like anyone who wants to join us to know that they are welcome. Rick and Bill have already worked out a rondevouse point S of the Skyway.

Might be kinda neat to roll in there with more fiberglass than they've ever seen!

If you want to hook up with the Corvettes Anonymous group for the TBV cruise on 1/27 , send me a PM or email and I'll give you the particulars.

Here is the info.

As most of you know back in October TBV invited some of our friends from Skyway Corvette Club to join us on our October breakfast cruise..............well they had such a great time that they have been coming on our breakfast cruise every month since..............bringing as many as 17 cars last month. Two clubs getting together for a social gathering just goes to show how the Corvette can create new friendships.

Skyway Corvette Club has really enjoyed and appreciated our hospitality at Tampa Bay Vettes and is holding a special cruise day for Tampa Bay Vettes...........there was also talk of inviting another club that TBV has many friends in............This is what it is all about..............meeting new Corvette friends.

We ask you to PLEASE make every effort to attend this special breakfast cruise with Skyway Corvettes..............they are doing this special for TBV. So lets have a great big turnout for them.
See info below.

**** TBV will lead caravan down to meet them...........Tommy's cell is (813)431-9256..........it is straight down I-75 so I'm sure we won't get us lost.
We have to meet Skyway CC at 8:30 A.M. in Bradenton (Driver's meeting 8:45 - Cruise starts at 9:00 A.M.)

Caravan to Bradenton (Skyway Cruise starting point)
When: Saturday, January 12, 2008
Where: will meet behind Hooters on SR 60 at 7:30 A.M.
We will leave at 7:45 SHARP

IMPORTANT:
Those of you that live south of Brandon can meet us I-75 as we come down.........let me know if you plan to meet us on the road and I will call you when we are leaving Brandon......or you can drive down on your own.
Directions to the start of Skyway's cruise.
-I-75 South to exit 220A
-Get off exit go East about 2.7 miles (State Road 64) - we will meet them in Publix's parking lot (right behind the Hess Gas station)

Please e-mail me at oots1@verizon.net so I can give Skyway an approximate head count.

I hear the route they picked is a real good Corvette route.............Lets not let them down.........hopefully we show up with at least 40 plus cars.

Also bring your registration form for St Armand's on the Circle Corvette Show to register if you plan on attending.
