autocross question
Hey everyone. I never post on here but I've searched and searched and can't find what I'm looking for.
I'm interested in getting into autocrossing. I'm in the S. Florida/Broward/Miami area. The only resource I've been able to find is: http://www.floridacorvetteracing.com/ I'm just interested in casual events held often with more than just corvettes (so my friends can come too). I really appreciate any help anyone can offer. thank you very much |
Not knowing what your friends drive, it's hard to tell where you might fit in best.
I know there are several auto-xer's on here that will likely chime in over time; however, for the time being check the following sites: www.erscc.com www.autocrossforum.com www.rx8club.com and the Official SCCA website (just google SCCA and you'll get all the related sites. Just about any of the compact car sites will have an auto-X section as well. Good luck and happy racing:) Oh, and :welcome::wavey:aboard! |
I just stumbled across the one here in the Tampa Bay area (wedrivefast.com). I'd see if Miami has a racing forum like tampa does (tamparacing.com). They are usually pretty up to date on local racing events. Also go to the local car shows. You'd be amazed how many still run their car after detailing for hours on end. I'd also call some local speed shops as well. I've found out there are quite a few autocrossing events in this area. They don't exactly advertising, so you've got to be in the loop to find them. Good luck, it's certainly a blast!

You may be looking for an SCCA sponsored event. Here are a couple of websites, one is South Florida and the other is SW Florida (just across Alligator Alley)
