Man, 0 to 60 in under two seconds? I wouldn't have thought that possible without all wheel drive.... Talk about neck breaking acceleration....
I wonder what the G-force is? |
My first post here, but that car HAD to have slicks on it !!

I know this car very well. It was originally owned and built for a friend of mine in Maryland. He was a member of the Bel Air Corvette Club and it is a 1998 not a 2002. I think the confusion is that the current owner not only owns this LPE twin turbo, but he also owns a red 2002 LPE twin turbo. The '98 was re-bodied as the first wide body by Lingenfelter in around '01-'02 time frame. It was also the first twin turbo that LPE designed with an automatic transmission. My friend was diagnosed with MS and sold the '98 at Barrett Jackson about three or four years ago.
If you click on the picture of the silver wide body, it will take you to a Corvette Fever article that talks about both Vettes. Both are animals, but I am pretty sure the red '02 is the one with the crazy 0-60 time, and not the silver wide body '98, even though this one is a beast too. Rich |
