The federal government's house of smoke and mirrors is coming to an end.
 

Yeah, and watch them claim it is all OUR fault, so WE will be the ones who have to bear the pain, not them.... It will be business as usual for them, I'm sure, while they foist austerity programs and higher taxes on us....

I'm somewhat okay with the austerity part, but raising taxes in this recession is suicide.

Well, these guys in political offices seem to be able to generate millions of dollars EACH for their re-election campaigns, so how about just donating all that money to help FIX the problems they have caused by making boneheaded decisions that got us into this mess? Instead of telling US we have to tighten our belts, how about leading by example?

Yeah, I know. But on the other hand, good luck getting people to accept their austerity measures when they flaunt their own living high on the hog lifestyles to us.

What will become rather interesting is if they attempt to FORCE such measures on us. We probably won't hear of any of the rioting beyond what is happening locally because the "news" services will be clamped down on thinking it will stop others from getting similar ideas. This sort of control is most effective if people are made to feel that they are way in the minority with having such thoughts and a radical "fringe" element of society.
