• Got the Contributing Memberships stuff finally worked out and made up a thread as a sort of "How-To" to help people figure out how to participate. So if you need help figuring it out, here's the thread you need to take a look at -> http://www.corvetteflorida.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3581 Thank you, everyone! Rich Z.

:thumbsup: Well done Shadow. I spent a few years in the military as a junior officer and higher. The behavior FATASS displayed in this EPIC SAGA , IMO, would be considered a personality flaw and not tolerated.

Imagine going into combat with someone who is argumentative, indecisive and refuses to bring something to a conclusion. :shrug01:

:iagree::iagree::iagree:

Screw Me Running,I was for once working :lmao:and missed all the excitement!!:banghead::banghead::banghead:

:D

You should be able to edit for a short period after posting (I forget how Rich has it set up?) but it's just not long term. It's to keep everyone on an even playing field.

Even though I "can" go back and edit, I "won't" out of fairness to everyone here. :thumbsup:

Just a clarification here, the BOI is a special case on this site. Once you post something, it is set in concrete. No going back to make changes to what you have posted. This is because on my main site where I have a very high traffic BOI forum, I found that many a bad guy will stick their foot in their mouth, then go back to change the cat they let out of the bag before anyone could see it. It proved worthwhile to curtail that sort of coverup, and I felt it beneficial to do the same here.

Yes, the mods CAN edit or delete their posts in this forum, but I am requesting that the do not. Especially if they are acting as a regular member with the context of their posting here.

I stand corrected and thanks Rich:thumbsup:

As I mentioned in my response to Brad, even though I "can" I "don't" for just that reason. Respect for others here and to keep us all on even ground.

I fixed the color because no one would be able to read it. The content remained:thumbsup::D

^ My favorite is:
"Screw you!" (or expletive version)
"Promise?"

He's apparently young and has some issues that need to be resolved outside of his car problem.

:toetap05:
If I have said it once I have said it a million times. Age has nothing to do with this ish. Maybe somebody's momma didn't raise them right but using the person's assumed age to belittle them is... belittling... to me. It would be funny if he was... oh, 53. You better be careful or I'll get pissed off and baselessly call you a rapist. I do such things. :hehehe:

Anyway, on topic... yelling on teh intarwebz goinz to warz wit da moderaterz n beefn... I'm not as good with internet speak as FATBUM but you get the idea. Anyway, yelling over the internet at Rich or Shadow or Brad or me won't help your chances of getting your car back. Neither will getting banned. I'm sure if you didn't act like an asshat, a member local to the shop would be willing to help locate your car and determine operating hours for the week you'd like to visit. And getting banned for attacking the guy who tried to help you, shooting parting comments, then following his plan is... well, funny from my perspective.

Without somebody somewhere making real effort (the physical type), all this thread is...

What was it he said? Oh yeah, I remember...f**k you!:lmao::lmao:(JMWY bro;))

Actually I knew when I said it that this part would bite me in the a$$:eek: But I also said that even though the means exists, as a courtesy to my fellow members, I don't edit in this section.

When I make a boneheaded statement here, it stays here.

But you're absolutely, 100% correct.:thumbsup::thumbsup:

I happened to know in this case that he's young from my telephonic discussions with him. I still should not have made that comment.

I know some 20 somethings that are way older than thier years.

I know some 50 somethings, that will probably never mature ("Growing up is optional and totally irrelevant to maturing:D)

Didn't mean to paint every 20 something with such a wide brush. His level of "maturity" on the board was childish was what I meant. Thanks for the correction and my apologies if I offended you my young friend.:yesnod:

Could not have summed it up better if I'd tried!!

Well put:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Shadow, you did all you could to help him and went way beyond the call of duty. His problem was he wasn't listening, all he was doing was bit^h*ng.

We are all grown-ups here who can take care of ourselves, but you are my friend and I believe in loyalty so when he started attacking you that's when I went off, especially after all you tried to do.

I actually felt like I was dealing with one of my former elementary students with emotional problems, geesh.

And I know you know I was teasing you on the editing thing, Mr. God. :D

Cheers

Shadow Please, I ask you not to talk about me and Vett Boy like this in open forums!!:lmao::lmao::lmao:

Never had a concern my friend and thanks. I hope he eventually gets everything worked out. I'd hate to be without my car that long:(

...God....(not even close!)

Later ya'll.:wavey:

I got a hold of Chris Monday morning after sending him a message stating my intentions to call the blountstown police and start a civil case.

Chris said he received the package from the DOAC. The DOAC also said that Chris is not licensed.

I told him if the car wasn't done by the 7th (This is the same date in the demand letter sent over a week ago.) then I would be following up with further legal action.
He said he is working on getting it done by the 7th. If he did indeed "take off last week" just to work on my car, I can't imagine how there is any possibility that it isn't already done.

I told him I wanted a piece of paper with todays date written on it placed next to the motor in my car and completed heads and pictures taken and sent to me today as proof that he has actually been working on my car.
I have not received any pictures and have not heard back from Chris since even though i tried to contact him today.

I find any mention of him working nights, weekends, extended hours..etc etc extremely hard to believe. Simply because he himself always has a "I was sick" excuse and the cars he has in his possession still are not completed.

I did not receive any photos today and chris has not answered any of my calls, texts/emails.

Tomorrow is the last day before the Blountstown Police are called.

I suggest anyone with their car(s) there take their cars elsewhere.
