Thanksgiving and the Vette

Took a lil 60 mile round trip today with my Vette, went to Lutz for dinner.

Spotted five C5's, four were black, and one red, also a C4 and a C3 , got three waves out of the whole lot. My avg milage was 26.3mpg with a mix of highway and city

Could not ask for a better day to drive the Vette!

The traffic was great, a good 60% less than normal.

This was my 2nd highway trip with the Vette, the first trip was the breakfast meet on Oct28. In town i drive in 3rd, but forgot and drove all the way to Brandon in 3rd gear, my avg mileage was 16mpg. Today i drove in D and got over 26mpg, hard to belive the diff from 3rd and D.

So far the car drives like a dream!

Automatic overdrive gearing helps a ton.
 
Darn, wish I had gotten out today...... Just couldn't leave the wife in the kitched cooking dinner though........ She would have told me to stop in at McDonald's for MY dinner tonight..... :brick2:

I'll bet tomorrow is going to be pretty crowded on the roads. Especially around any shopping malls.
