Yeah, the 1:7 ratio was designed for more into the 62 to 65 grain projectile range. The SS109 (U.S. M855), I believe, was the impetus originally for that twist rate. But there have been some accounts of the thin jacketed 52 grain projectiles actually coming apart in flight, so it is not well suited for the lighted weight projectiles, evidently.
