• Got the Contributing Memberships stuff finally worked out and made up a thread as a sort of "How-To" to help people figure out how to participate. So if you need help figuring it out, here's the thread you need to take a look at -> http://www.corvetteflorida.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3581 Thank you, everyone! Rich Z.

Shows and events calendar

Just for your info, you may want to post your events in the site calendar as well -> http://www.corvetteflorida.com/forums/calendar.php

That way any event within the next 30 days will automatically show up in the calendar section at the bottom of the main page. Might help people quite a bit to see what is coming up at a glance.

Bob, the calendar section should be open for all members to post their own events there. Is it not working for you?

I would also like to mention here that members can "subscribe" to events placed in the calendar on this site to be sent a reminder when the date draws near. This comes in real handy if your memory is as bad as mine is.....

HI,

There used to be two Corvette shows on or near Disney property. I know about the NCRS show. What was the other one and when does it normally happen? I think I saw it last on a very rainy day at Downtown Disney.

Thanks.

Anyone interested in keeping track of events and posting them in the calendar section? I would hate for anyone to miss an event because it just wasn't listed on the calendar.....

I learn something new everyday. I like this calender, and im marking events in my blackberry. The steak and shake tuesday is right arounds the corner from my house :dancer01:

Yea I posted the Wesley Chapel DQ Cruise in on Wed. nights. It is right around the corner from me. Once I get the battery issue resolved maybe I can make it down there to the Steak and Shake.

Edit: Actually I just Googled the address for the Steak and Shake and it is about 20 mins from me. It is closer than I thought. I thought it was in south Tampa, but it is not too far from SR 54. I think I will have to make it down there one night.

This is just a reminder that I am seeing people posting events in the Events forum here, but not in the calendar. The only way I can keep track of shows I may want to attend is by checking the calendar here and then set it to notify me a few days in advance of the show as a reminder. So, quite frankly, if your show does not appear in the calendar, quite likely some people will not even know about it. I'm seeing several people talking about shows in April that I would likely want to attend, but the chances that I will REMEMBER them come March is just about nil.
