NCM business membership

I just signed up this site as a National Corvette Museum business member. Figure maybe it would help get some exposure. Heck, since I flubbed out on the Poker Run lately, maybe my luck is due for a change. So I'm going to buy some raffle tickets while I am at it. Even when I lose (notice I didn't say "IF"..), at least the money will go for a good cause.

Very cool Rich. Which raffle tickets? I like the one for the Z06. 500 tickets at $500 each. There is also a raffle for the last DSOM to be given away next week. Only 500 tickets at $250 a pop. I entered into the $10 raffle for the 2007 Red Corvette.

I did one each of the two "build your own" models. Sold a bunch of snakes this month, so figured I would pretend like I had a chance of winning.. With my luck, even if I bought 499 of those 500 tickets for the Z06, I would STILL lose.... :banghead: As for the 2007 coupe or convertible, odds are even slimmer, but at least I can tell the wife that I entered a raffle for a car for HER as well. :)

40 tickets for the 2007 already purchased and probably going to get 10 more on Tuesday at the Museum.

Will be back in a couple weeks for the homecoming at the Expo Center.

I will have 10 tickets for the 2007 Red Coupe by September when it ends. Now I need to make room in the garage for it.

:crazy03:

I just guess my perspective is a lot less positive then some of you guys. I feel that if I'm not lucky enough to win with a single raffle ticket, then having more then one is not really going to increase my luck. It's either meant to happen, or it's not. I am firmly convinced that Murphy's Law is the most powerful force in the universe.....

I'm new to this forum and glad to be aboard. I think a Florida-centric forum is a stellar idea and I'll be sure to visit frequently!

Yesterday, I received the Sept/Oct '06 issue of the NCM's "America's Sports Car" magazine and noted that CorvetteFlorida.com is acknowledged as a Business/Club Member. I applaud this forum's support of the NCM!

For those that may not be aware, when the Museum breaks down their membership by state, Florida has consistently topped the list at #1... I'd sure like to see that continue!

I'd like to submit a suggestion that since we're now a Business Member, a "National Corvette Museum" topic be created, perhaps under "General Corvette Forums". I'll offer to keep an eye on NCM-related postings and respond as time permits.

Thanks all!
Cheers,

Certainly I could do that. How would you like to be the "ambassador" here for the NCM and take the helm of such a forum?

Appreciate the offer, Rich.

Sounds a little bit like "Field of Dreams"... "If you build it, they will come"... :)
Sure, I'd be glad to ride heard on that topic, at least "unofficially" to start with. As far as Ambassador selection goes, there's a process for that, which we may want to chat about offline.

Actually it was only meant to be "unofficial". :) "Ambassador" was used as an arbitrary designation and not intended to imply anything official nor impinge on anything that may be trademarked by the NCM. You made an offer which I felt was a good idea, and accordingly offered to give you the keys for such a forum. That way your good suggestion can be implemented and it doesn't add more to my plate to have to worry about... :D
