Last year and this year Connie and I have gone down to Manasota Key and stayed right on the Gulf of Mexico. One reason I have always liked September in that area is because when I was younger there used to be the most amazing lightning storms out in the Gulf this time of year. So I have been going armed with high hopes and my video cameras hoping to capture some of them on video.
And I've gotten skunked out both last year and this year. The only night we had ANY storms out there was just the one night I caught in this fairly lame storm on video, which is really not much to write home about....
Well, maybe next time I'll get some better storms to video.....
And Lord, please throw in a picturesque water spout while you are at it...
