We did that going to St. Augustine and had a blast.
Enough main road to expedite the trip, and enough side/back/secondary roads to make it beautiful

The same thing was in the back of my mind the other day while we were discussing this at the restaurant.
When we do a "West Coast" function, that would include the entire West coast, from Pensacola to Key West!
Center state would again be from say, the State line South to Arcadia, and the east coast from St. Augustine/Ft. Walton to Miami
With the advent of telephones and the internet (that's Al Gore
), if we didn't have a local point person, someone from the local area, then one of the rest of us could take care of it.
