Yeah, Junk has a good point. If you have a driveway with a lot of stones in it, the treads of the tires could get a stone stuck in them that only let loose when the tire rotation reaches a velocity high enough for the stone to break loose. Figure on about half of those times being directed inside the wheel well and that certainly could cause a banging sound as the stone hits the wheel well.
