I actually have those clamps that I think you are referring to. Maybe I just didn't give them a fair shake as they seemed like they just would not get tight enough to form a good seal. Plus there was something about using a wad of aluminum foil at the seam to help them seal that seemed just a little bit hokey to me. Maybe next time I pull the exhaust down I'll give them a try, though. I would have to pull the insulation wrap off again, so that's not something I want to do without good cause.

I did take the car out on Saturday for a short drive, and didn't smell any exhaust in the cabin. Maybe if it would stop raining here long enough for the road to dry up and the bumps to smooth out I would be able to take it out more.
