Yeah, I've often wondering if there was some way to tune the suspension such that even when breaking traction the car would tend to go in a straight line instead of having the rear end wanting to swing around the center of the car. Seems that when these cars break traction the car almost immediately wants to go sideways. This is great for burning donuts in a parking lot for show, I guess, but gives you white knuckles just about any other time.

I wonder if the torque tube has something to do with this? Since this makes it basically a solid inflexible piece of metal from the engine to the differential, perhaps it is just the torque of the engine acting on the entire car.
