I believe you're misinformed. Obama won both the Electorial vote and popular vote. Obama took the larger states with the most people and the most Electorial votes. The Electorial College is the only thing that keeps New York, California, Illinois and such from determining every Presidential election. If it were not for the Electoria College, states like Georgia, SC, NC, Idaho, etc. would have virtually no voice in the process of picking a President. Just because there's way too many people who depend on government living in NY and California, I don't want them to always pick the President.
