If you look hard enough and have patience, you can find them MUCH cheaper on Ebay.
I don't know what the current draw is, but I will tell you this about that particular subwoofer... The first time I
cranked it up, when the low notes kicked it into gear, it actually and TRULY blurred my vision. I had heard about that sort of an effect with high powered subwoofers, but prior to that moment had never actually experienced it. Of course, after that I toned down the beast quite a bit for normal listening.
