Default Hummingbird

The hummingbirds have been fighting like cats and dogs around the feeder, but this one finally was able to get a meal in peace.

The first pic was taken with the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ1000.

The last two were taken with the Nikon P900.

These were taken through the bedroom window, and the glass isn't as clean as it should be..

Only saw one in my life and it was far away and took off like a bat out of hell.

We get them around here every year during the Spring, Summer, and into the early Fall months. Never seen more than 4 at a time, though. They very aggressively defend "their" feeders. We have feeders on both sides of the house in the hopes that if they can't see each other, then then won't fight. But it seems to me that they all just constantly fly from one side of the house to the other.

They don't seem to mind people too much, because when Connie or I are near the feeders, they buzz around us like they are curious.
