Park Front and Center at the 15th Anniversary Celebration

Thousands of Corvettes will roll in for the 15th Anniversary Celebration September 3-6 and we have a special opportunity available allowing you “front and center” parking at the event! There are 60 parking spaces around the NCM front blacktop circle and grassy showcase area located inside the circle. Spots are available on a first come – first serve basis in return for a $500 donation. We are offering NCM Lifetime Members a chance to reserve their spot first until Friday, May 15th. You may reserve your spot with a donation by contacting Connie Russell at: (800) 538-3883 – ext 115. This donation is tax deductible.

Find out more about registering for our 15th Anniversary Celebration and how you can become a Lifetime member of the Museum by visiting our website or call us at: (800) 538-3883.

Just my .02 but I think the $500 donations should be pooled to help out those that will be out of work for 2 months this year at BG...due to GM's f up...

Actually I believe the UAW contract will allow those workers that are out of work for a shutdown to still receive about 95% of the salary.

So what's the benefit of shuttng down then? Except the obvious lack of sales of new cars leading to a slow down in cars being sent to dealerships.......

The Colonel is dreading for the day that he may have to lower his price on the glut of C6's out there...

Hey Rocket,

The benefit of the shut down is to lower the vehicle supply numbers. I think most manufacturers try to work with about a 60 - 75 day supply. The last I heard I think GM had about 130 day supply. So, the longer than normal summer shut down is to allow the dealers to clear some of that existing inventory. Otherwise, they would be building units that the dealers could not accommodate.

From what I have read all of the manufacturers, not just GM and Chrysler, are experiencing greater supply than demand right now. I think that is why we have seen some of the foreign manufactures also reporting some first quarter losses.

I guess we have hi-jacked Ernie's thread. Sorry!

Has anybody heard from Ernie? I finally was able to sign up and need to ask him some questions. He isn't answering his e-mail or PM's.? :shrug01:

I have not heard from him recently, he has always been responsive when I have sent him and email or pm. Maybe he is away for some reason. I would give him a few days and then try sending something to him again.

I know he has been very busy with his business lately. I will be meeting with him in the next fews days to work on the caravan. I will also let him know that there are a few e-mails sent his way as well as Pm's.

I'm all set to go!!

I've been planning this since it was announced almost two years ago...and paid immediately then as well to attend!

I've got a room reserved in Lake City, one reserved north of Atlanta, and 5 nights reserved in Bowling Green. And to think we're just a bit 'outside' of 3 months before the event already!! :dancer01:

Traci and I can't wait...we're ready to surround ourselves in a sea of Corvettes by the hundreds, if not thousands, for a whole week...and starting in Tampa at Ferman's! :yesnod:

HOW MANY CORVETTEFLORIDA.COM PEOPLE ARE GOING? AND STARTING OUT FROM TAMPA AT FERMAN'S? :yesnod:

OH YEA, LOOK US UP ONCE WE'RE AT FERMANS'! :crazy03:

Wifey and I will be coming up the turnpike with the East Coast bunch. Like you, we have been looking forward to this for 2 years.

The wife and I are coming up from Ft. Myers. I know that 2Vettes (Linda) and Electra (Barb) are also coming up from this area.

Do you have any specific times set for the trip. I live just north of Orlando and want to hook up with everyone and follow all the way up to BG. I also want to do the Road Atlanta Raceway. i would like to start getting hotel reservations on the way up, were is our stops going to be. I think I am like everyone else and having problems getting reservations in BG.:banghead: Do you have any ideas about BG rooms. :shrug01:

Scully,

A bunch of us are staying in Nashville about 60 miles from the Museum because rooms were scarce in BG.

I'm going up from the Ft. Lauderdale area. I believe we're leaving in two groups from Ed Morse Chevrolet in Sunrise. One group goes west thru Tampa, and the other up the turnpike to Lake City for the first night.
