hitch hiker

A guy driving a new Z06 stopped for a hitch hiker. When he opened he door a big ugly dog ran up. The corvette owner said, "I can't let that dog in my new car." The hitch hiker said. " I always have this problem, no one wants my dog in their car. I have him trained to run along side on this leash. I have been doing this for a few years with no problems"
The corvette owner reluctantly said okay and drove off, At 30 mph he asked the guy how his dog was doing. The hitch hiker said. " He's fine, you can go faster, no problem he'll keep up." They got up to 70mph and the corvette owner asked about the dog again. The guy said, " Look, you just drive, my dog is fine. Go as fast as you want." The corvette sped up to 140mph. " You're telling me that your dog is still running bedside the car?"
The hitch hiker said. " yeah, he's doing fine, if you don't believe me just stop and check, see for youself."
The corvette driver got on the brakes.The corvette came to a quick stop . He got out, went around to the other side of the car. To his amazement the dog was still there and seemed hardly out of breathe. He asked the hitch hiker about the big red collar. The hitch hiker looked out the window at the dog and said.
" That's not a collar, That's his ass. He's not used to stopping that fast."
