Sounds like a car should now. And with NPP in a box and 2 remotes i have the best of both worlds. Catch can and a modded airfilter box is next.

Car has been running great. Looks like the Pilot S4 tires are the next mod. The stock runflats are getting old and just have no traction. They still look great, but at over 5 years old they are near the end.

Yeah, I have to look at tires too. The rear tires on the '09 Z are getting pretty long in the tooth now. And the tires on the C5Z aren't much better.

I actually would like to put runflats on the C5Z, but last time I looked I couldn't find anything like that available. Non-runflats are a better ride, but living out in the boonies, if I get a hole punched in one (like happened with Connie's 2007 C6), I'm pretty much screwed. No one nearby will have them in stock or even able to get them in a few hours. Heck, for that matter, probably most areas of the country would be the same situation for getting a quick tire replacement. So a flat tire is going to mean spending at least a night where ever you are.

At least with runflats, I could get somewhere under my own steam instead of being dead in the water at the side of the road somewhere.

I never drive far away from home other than the Vette cruises once a month with the Tampabay Vette club. I avg under 50 mile a week and 90% of the time i drive less than 4 miles from home.

Tires Plus on Capital Circle NE in Tallahassee has run-flats that are around $225-$250 IIRC. I think it's a Cooper tire but they told me they rode a lot better than the Goodyears and the price is much more friendly. They're not as heavy either. I was considering getting them for my CTS V as it originally had the Goodyears but I found an aftermarket set of rims for it for less than the cost of an OEM rim and since it has a well in the trunk for a spare I went that route. Regular CTS's can be had with a spare so they made the well standard but the V model has 6 lug rims and those are both rare and expensive. Some of the aftermarket sets were over $2500 when I looked at them 7 years ago but I found a used set that weren't perfect just so I would have a spare.

Do the CTS's use the same size tire front and rear?

Yes and no. The first generation used 18 inch rims with 245/45/18 rubber but the 2008 and up used 19 inch rims. Some folks have gone to 20 inch rims and some have staggered them also. But they were not staggered from the factory. I had 235/35/18 Maxxis Victras on it when I got it but they lowered the car so much I was hitting curbs with the front bumper. They were super sticky though and the "G" meter recorded .96 on the corners. Only got 11000 miles out of them though, but they were fun.

Price is around 1300 for a set of the Pilot S4's.
