Connie and I stayed at another one of the cabins at St. Joe state park last week, and fortunately the weather behaved for a change. Did get a short sprinkle one day, but it only lasted about 10 minutes and then it cleared up again.
Got to do a lot of walking on the beach of both the Gulf side and the bay side and saw a lot of wildlife. So of course I had my camcorder with me.
Except for one morning on the Gulf side when the black flies went berserk and tried to eat us alive, it was a really nice time out there. The place didn't even live up to the name we gave it years ago: Cape Sand Blast. The winds were light and just slightly breezy, so the water wasn't very choppy at all.
Actually some of the deer in that area act like they are REAL curious about humans. You can tell that they are barely restraining themselves from just walking on over to check you out.
