So, the storm system in the southwestern Gulf of Mexico is now a named hurricane. Katia. There are three hurricanes in the Gulf and Atlantic right now, with possibly a fourth one coming off the coast of Africa.

As of today's date, Ventusky is showing it moving even further east and may just keep far enough off the coast to not have actual landfall of the eye.

Most of the spaghetti models show the east coast of Florida being in the most jeopardy from Irma.
