Default Paint Color Name

I have a Monterey Red Vert. When I went to a paint store to have them mix paint for the Vette, I gave them code 80U which shows in the car's specs.
However, the color listed for that code is Jewel Red (which is Monterey Red).
Anyone knows why there are two names for the same color?

There are often several names for a paint color, the code is specific to your model car.
