General Motors today said it will improve its finances through 2009 by laying off salaried workers, making more cuts in truck production, suspending its dividend and borrowing at least $2 billion as it rides out its worst U.S. sales in a decade.

Not wanting to act like some vulture, but the best way to stimulate sales is by lowering prices and providing juicy incentives. Maybe give some dealers a swift kick in the pants when they act like all prospective Corvette buyers have money to burn and are willing to put up with crap like "market adjustments" and other tactics to simply fleece customers. People absolutely HATE going to dealerships, which is not good business to sell a product. Figure out why people hate dealerships, who are acting as representatives of GM to the public, and straighten them out or fire them. THAT will help business.
